Twitter... Don't you talk about it? I can see conversations about Twitter everywhere and seems like it's a trending topic lately among my friends as I can see my friends talking more about it at the time I write this post. +Lisa Buben has invested her time to research and compile materials to publish an eBook for Twitter folks to get started and tweet better, and +Adrienne Smith shared her cool Twitter tips to take advantage of Twitter. Now you don't wanna miss them ;) If you are a Twitter user, I have a fun question for you. What if your Twitter account get hacked?
Online Data Security
Have you been thinking about the security of your data stored in Social Media accounts? Mmm... You might be in danger, but you never know until you get hacked or find your data has been lost.
Facebook is a social platform where we find a lot of spammy activities going on eventhough you never notice after all. But friends do and may let you know about unwanted content being shared by your account. Facebook let you secure your account to prevent end up being hacked, or if you feel you get hacked after all. Before all that, you can download all your information stored on Facebook. Didn't you? Download right now and keep it safe.
How about Google+? As Google+ is associated with your Google account you can backup your data as follows... Oh wait... +Jan Bierens will let you know why and how to backup your data on Google.
Oops... I was way away from the topic today - Twitter? No, I'm in, but reminding you about security concerns on other online profiles.
Twitter Backup
I'm asking you again ~ What if your Twitter account get hacked?. It's always better you get away from spammers on Twitter. Don't let them come in and mess up with your Twitter profile. The idiom always comes into play, "Prevention is better than cure". Wouldn't you love if you can backup your Twitter profile?
There are numerous third-party tools that let you backup all your tweets. I didn't know about it until coming across a post directly shared by +Frank Woodman Jr back then with list of third-party Twitter backup tools. I've found some reliability issues when I try to use them with my profile, but they were working for some other tweeps though.
But now you don't need any third-party tools if you are looking for backing up your tweets. Twitter allows you to download all your tweets and retweets. However it's all about backing up your data and Twitter has no capability to restore you backups though.
Twitter archive is not only about downloading and keeping it in a safe place. You can make use of it anytime. You can navigate through all your tweets month by month, and best of all, you can search all the tweets of yours related to a specific term. When it comes to usual Twitter profile, I find it's hard to get listed all tweets of mine for a specific search term even in Twitter advanced search. That's a cool feature from my point of view. How about you? ;) In addition to searching and accessing tweets, you can view your account details and interact with your old tweets like you do online. Just wait...
