When blogging, reader comments are really matters if you wanna get feedback from your readers or interact with them. It is a best way to get specific responses for your posts and to analyze engagement of readers. So bloggers will always welcome visitors to comment on their content via comment forms. Now commenting is a basic and must have feature in almost all blog platforms. Also in Blogger platform, commenting feature is enabled for all Blogger blogs by default. But it doesn't enforce you to enable comments and in case if you wanna disable comments on your blog, you are free to configure commenting feature. Finding a way to configure commenting feature on Blogger?
In Blogger, currently you will find two types of pages where you can enable default commenting feature. They are post pages and static pages. Generally you would enable comments on post pages as you use them to provide or present your content. But if you wanna disallow comments on specific posts, still you are able to do it. However in static pages, mostly you wouldn't mind disallowing comments at all. You will use static pages to represent static information or use them for specific purposes. But it depends on your requirement. Apart from disabling commenting feature on individual pages, sometimes you may wanna disable default commenting feature entirely from your blog. It would occur mostly if you gonna add or implement external comment system on your blog. However to fulfill your need, here you can learn how to configure comments on your blog, on specific post pages or specific static pages.

Enable or Disable Comments on Your Blog
Here you can learn how to enable or disable Blogger comment feature. This setting will affect to the entire blog. So if you disable it here, readers won't find Blogger comment form on any of your pages. Further if you enable comments on your blog, you can select how you gonna display your comment form or location of your comment form.
i. Go to Blogger Dashboard.
ii. Click on your Blog Title.
iii. Navigate to Settings.
iv. Go to Posts and comments tab under Settings.

Embedded - Comment form and comments will be embedded under the post on each page which you have enabled comments.
Full page - Comment form and comments will display in another page, instead of displaying it on same page where your post.

Don't allow, show existing - Further comments will not be allowed, but existing comments will be shown to visitors

Hello and thank you. I am having trouble with enabling comment form on the post page. Static pages work fine. I follow the instructions above, click on preview and see the comment form just fine. I then save everything, go to look at the post page and the comment box is not there. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks
Hi Jim,
All your post pages don't have a comment box? Or is it only a specific post? Anyway, check whether you have allowed comments by accessing settings on right pane at post editor by editing a post mate. If you find that you haven't allowed commenting, then allow commenting and update the post :)
Hope it helps :)

Hi Stephen,
You're welcome mate :)
You made a good choice :) Personally, I believe Disqus is the best option for Blogger so far as you can switch back without losing any of comments mate. There's more benefits using it. Good luck :)
Thanks for coming by and commenting :)

Hi Mayura, I am trying to disable comments on my blog entirely, I went to edit the one blog post I have so far (I'm still setting things up) and went to options, but under the options list I have no comment options, it just immediately shows compose mode and the options for html use. Not sure why I can't find the option? Thanks!
Hi Allie,
Well, if you need to disable comments on your blog entirely, it's best to follow the instructions under Enable or Disable Comments on Your Blog heading dear :)
Seems like you have already disabled comments and hence you see no option in individual posts :)
Cheers...
the best solution by far!
Hi Fauzi,
Glad to hear this post has been helpful mate :)

Mayura, I just created a blog and it only allows Google+ users to comment. How do I disable that and enable regular comments?
Hi Jason,
I believe your blog created with Google+ comments enabled :) You can go over to Google+ tab and turn off Google+ comments feature mate. Then you will find regular comment box up there.
If you are not sure about the steps, you can follow this post to locate the setting ~ How to Enable Google+ Comments in Blogger.

Facing same problem , but in my blog i think its set to don't allow by default , how to fix?
Then you have to enable comments for pages manually, Sam :) Follow the instructions beneath Enable or Disable Comments on Static Pages heading.
Awesome tips. One question. After I installed the Disqus widget to my blogger blog, it only worked on posts that already had comments before installing it, however it didn't work on my newest just published post which didn't have any comments, yet. I removed it again for now until I figure this out, but would really appreciate if you could help me! Thank you
"comments" option is missing from my blogger. Would you help me taking "admin"???
please help help.....
Hi Mate,
I believe you are using Google+ comments on your blog :) When Google+ comments turned on, you can't access comments via Comments tab.
If you revert back to Blogger comments, you will find Comments tab listed in there again :)
