Change "Post a Comment" Text in Blogger


As you publish unique and quality content on your blog, your blog readers interested in reading and enjoying them everytime they land on your blog. As they find them interesting for them, they might share your posts with their friends and followers too. In addition to sharing, a way for them to interact with you is commenting. Comments are form of feedback for your content and it's an integrated component of a blog. As they find your content interesting, they can convey their ideas and suggestions via comment form. However you may need to invite your readers to comment on your blog with a creative message. A creative message can get them to your comment form. isn't it?

In Blogger, you can see a text "Post a Comment" just before your comment form. It conveys readers or invite them to comment below your post with what's on their mind about your post. But don't you think that it would be better if you can show off more creative message for your readers. As the topics you covered on your blog, you may have different kind of audience. So you might like to address them in a way you prefer or in the way you usually address them in your posts. So instead of standard "Post a Comment" message, would you like to place your own creative and appealing message for them? You can easily access your template and change it. Let's see how to change the message with your creative message.


Steps:

1. Go to Blogger Dashboard.

2. Click on your Blog Title.

3. Jump to Template tab.


Note: Before editing your template, you may want to save a copy of it. Read How to Back Up Your Template.

4. Now click on Edit HTML button.


5. Now Search for below tag in your template.

<data:postCommentMsg/>

Note: You may wonder with couple of exact matches for your search in this step. Find the line of code similar to below from your search results and perform the step.

<h4 id='comment-post-message'><data:postCommentMsg/></h4>


6. Now you just need to replace that tag with the text you wanna show up instead of standard "Post a Comment" text.

7. Now Save your template and jump over to comment form to see your new message.

hey I've got a question (god, I hope you're not cursing me now :) )

why the font and size of the number of comments is the same as for the title of the blog post ? if you don't understand what i am saying look on a random blog post of mine and look at the title and then scroll down and the number of comments above the comment form

Nope :D Ya mate. I got your query. By default, in Blogger, it's nearly same font size. BTW you are leading me to a new post ;)
